I am looking at wikipedia synopsis of this series and well, I have some comments ...

During a high-speed motorboat chase with a criminal, Cheung Chau police officer Wong Tai-mui gets herself trapped in a waterspout, accidentally opening a time portal. She travels back 200 years to 19th century Hong Kong, a time when the island was under Qing rule. She encounters a family of Canton pirates, led by Cheng Yat, his wife Shek Giu, and their adopted son Cheung Po Tsai. Using her knowledge of the future, which she keeps in a smartphone, she saves the pirates from a deadly naval battle against the Qing naval fleet led by Prince Man-ho, the eleventh son of the Jiaqing Emperor. Puzzled by her mysterious origins, Cheng Yat and Shek Giu remain wary of Tai-mui and are hesitant in trusting her.

She must have a kick ass battery in her handphone! TVB has no respect for time space continuum thingy don't they? Did her actions lead to opium war and all? Since this is set in Jiaqing time? And why isn't Man Ho married? Why is never any Qing prince married in TVB series before they meet the leading lady?

At Beijing's Imperial Palace, Imperial Consort Yim and Imperial Consort Shun manipulate Man-ho to get themselves into a position of higher power. Jaded from politics and family feud, Man-ho decides to let go of his ambition for the crown and flees the palace.
Did he ever had any chance? Just asking. Read that his maid fell for him. If there ever was a doomed romance, that's that.

On the day the tiangou covers the sun, another waterspout appears over the Canton sea. Cheung Po Tsai helps Tai-mui open the time portal so she can return to 21st century Hong Kong, but in doing so he also falls into the portal, travelling to the future with her.

Please don't give me the BS even Man Ho travels to the future or that Bowie the thief is his great great great great whatever grandson? If so did she just romanced her great great great whatever boyfriend's grandson??

Is there a reward to this time traveling thing? Like will she learn something that will affect her present day life? Just asking.

And I see Eric Li as one of the pirates. No offense but I can quite imagine Eric Li as a fierce formidable Cheung Po Tsai. I know perhaps the angle is a flirty playful one but Tony Hung just doesn't do it for me. The way he speaks will be a major problem. Perhaps Eric Li should have been given this plum role.

As for Grace, maybe add that her grandpa or grandpa is Indian? Because no way she looks pure Chinese however you try to justify it and in this series, since she is going back to olden days, wouldn't someone raise that question on heritage at least once? If show that her grandma is Indian will just solve the whole heritage question. For consistency sake.

Anyway looking forward to Ruco being angry, awesome and regal. Unfortunately his main co stars leaves a lot to be desired and even his female co stars are questionable. He just can't have a perfect supporting cast.
